Growing up in rural North Carolina, that was the phrase I heard around the dinner table from my Mom and grandmothers when the meal was getting compliments.

From the 1920’s to the 1960’s, one of Greensboro, NC’s most popular restaurants was the “White Oak Coffee Shop.”  This was run by my grandmother, Joy Steele McFarland.

My grandfather, Neill A. McFarland ran our family farm in nearby Pleasant Garden, while my grandmother operated the restaurant.  From the 1930’s into the 1950’s, the summer months would see them operate a hotel and restaurant called “The Helena Villa” in an emerging SC coastal town, “Myrtle Beach.”

These restaurants featured “home made” everything:  Even condiments, including ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, tarter sauce, tomato sauce, and yes, my grandmother’s home made peanut butter.

“All natural,” and “made with love and prayers” are traditions we feel called to carry on.

We process and ship your order via Standard Shipping through USPS. Your order typically arrives within five to eight days from the date the peanut butter was ordered. 

If your order arrives damaged, please immediately email contact@alexmcfarland.com with a subject line of “Damaged Order.”  Please take a picture of the damaged product and text to: 513-748-6998. While we do not provide refunds, we will replace the product. Be sure to include your mailing address.
